David Mander – Douglas
Built by David Mander for his Stronalacher railway this model of Douglas is an early example of the Gem kit running on Arnold chassis.

Aire Valley Railway railbus No. 101 ‘Maud’ built by Derek Naylor
Aire Valley Railway railbus No. 101 ‘Maud’ built by Derek Naylor in 1959 and based on County Donegal railcars 9 and 10. Originally paired with unpowered duplicate Railcar 102 “Derek” their bodies were made from wood and card, with Maud’s chassis being made from brass curtain rail with power coming from a Romford Terrier motor.

Derek Naylor – Arthur
Built by Derek Naylor for his 12 mm gauge Aire Valley Railway in 1960 this 2-6-0T “Arthur” is based on the Kerr Stuart locos (7 and 8) built for the Tralee & Dingle railway. Scratch built around a Romford Terrier motor Arthur was the AVR’s first 6-coupled loco.

Hancock open wagon 1170
Initially built by P.D Hancock in the early 1950s from a HO scale die cast ‘Moko’ die cast wagon manufactured by J. Kohnstam Ltd and running on a Kemtron 4 wheel underframe, at some point this example (along with 2 others now with the Edinburgh & Lothians MRC) has been fitted with bogies.
