Annascaul is a village in County Kerry, south west Ireland. The station was one of two intermediate passing places on the Tralee & Dingle Light Railway.
This 3’ gauge line was opened in 1891 to passenger and goods traffic. Spring 1939 saw the end of passenger trains, the daily goods train was suspended in 1946, and this just left the once monthly cattle trains as the only source of revenue, this service finally coming to an end in June 1953.

Photographs and text by Paul Titmuss.
