Chapel Pill Chapel Pill Chapel Pill
Angus Watkins' "Chapel Pill" is another superb model and attracted considerable interest with the ships (AR - 69Kb) "Lily Ann" at the wharf on "Chapel Pill" (MT - 47Kb) "Norah" waiting her cargo at "Chapel Pill" from the Forest of Dean coal mines (MT - 57Kb)
Chapel Pill Chapel Pill Sutton Wharf
Just look at the detail on the figures and in the ship's rigging. (MT - 47Kb) The transhipment point at Chapel Pill (MT - 57Kb) Christopher Payne has moved into even bigger scales with this 1:25 diorama, shown here being operated by Miles Bevan (MT - 51Kb)
Rail Car Paul Windle one of special Matilda
A very convincing railcar modified from the Dundas WHR tourist coach by David Burleigh spotted at Buccabury. The roof mounted radiator is constructed from 4mm scale beer crates, unless I misheard and it was something to do with beer crates being used up whilst constructing the radiator? (MT - 69Kb) Another Paul Windle one-off special was conveyed into the hall closely guarded by a grinning Chairman Garry Whiting, and quickly attracted a clutch of drooling fans. Buccabury Town formed a nice backdrop to record the loco on film. Mick Thornton says:" I'm informed that this is a "ZB-S" class (ZB Small?), must admit that with my growing interest in Indian NG, it looks more like a Nasmyth Wilson to me, but nobody loves a clever dick do they??" (MT - 62Kb) Mick Thornton says: "My own contribution to colonial fantasy is a model I recently "knocked up" of the little known version of the Victorian Na class Baldwin (Puffing Billy), the 2-4-4T NaF class (Naff?), shown here on its UK tour when it visited Buccabury." (MT - 35Kb)
