Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways Super-Power Weekend:

Celebrating the 21st anniversary of the commencement of services between Caernarfon and Dinas beginning the rebirth of the Welsh Highland Railway.

David & Rob Waller’s "Bron Hebog" and Paul Holme's "Borth y Gest" will be exhibited at Dinas Station.

Model Railway Exhibition:

Opening Times: 10.30-16.30 both days

A good selection of layouts in various scales including:

"A taste of Alber" (Czech narrow Gauge) TTe by Blair Hobson
"Woody Bay" 009 by Steve Wheatcroft
"St Marys" 0-16.5 by Julian Everson
"Llanerfyl" 0-16.5 by Brian Hunt
"Bumfmine" 0-16.5 by Martin Rich

Exhibition is being held in the Display Shed at Welshpool (Raven Square) Station as part of the Gala attractions.
Admission free to the model railways display, although there is a site admission charge this year at both stations.

Society member Harold Cabourn is endeavouring to set up a North Yorks NG modelling group.

The 009 Society Sales Team and Stand will be present to support this potential new group.
We anticipate 4 NG layouts, a demonstration of the art of baseboard building by Harold plus great friendship and good experiences.

Norfolk & Suffolk NGM Running Day Exhibition
Barsham Village Hall
Barsham,
Beccles,
Suffolk,

Opening Times: 10.30-16.00
 
Off the B1062 Beccles to Bungay road approx a couple of miles out of Beccles.
 
Car parking by hall and overflow on paddock next to hall.
 
Adults £2 accompanied under 16s free.
 
Once again we are turning our running day into a small exhibition with an aim to raising some money towards the Barsham Village Hall new loo fund.
Dating from the late 1800's the ex school now village hall has outside loos.
To bring it up to date there is fund raising for new loos to be built onto the hall and is going to cost 20-30 thousand pounds.
 
We will be having some of the smaller layouts and displays supplied by group members.
Light refreshments will be available.
