The Roving Reporter Photo Collection (CD) – Yet another new Volume from Mick Thornton!

VOLUME 5 IS NOW AVAILABLE!  (RELEASE DATE: 23 February 2010)

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the trouble to give me such positive feedback about my Photo CDs and for encouraging me to continue with preparing yet another Volume during the long nights at the computer when it has all seemed to be very uphill and “a bridge too far”. Well I am delighted to say that after a big push, I have not only got Volume 5 finished, but I have done it a full month ahead of my own self-imposed “stretch target” and within just 100 days of taking the last photos featured in the set!

Volume 5 is now ready and available and I am very pleased to be able to announce that, yet again the latest Volume contains the BIGGEST collection of fully captioned photos that I have yet achieved!

This Volume covers my visits to layouts, meetings and events during 2008 and 2009 and contains: 22 separate reports and OVER 2750 photos covering more than 200 different narrow gauge layouts! The series of CDs has now covered 12 years of exhibition attendances and includes over 10500 images in total!

For the benefit of those who have not yet sampled the delights of these CDs, they are MUCH more than just an accumulation of digital photos. In Volume 5, the 22 illustrated reports contain commentary and photo captions in addition to the photos and the CD is viewed in the same way that you would view an internet website, and is constructed in exactly the same way, using HTML coding. It is, in fact, an electronic book. You simply put the CD into your computer, click on the "start" icon that you are guided to and everything is then navigated by simply clicking on links that appear on the screen to take you to the different reports. If you are able to see this website, then your computer will be capable of running the CD. There are no executable files and there is no requirement to install anything.

I have managed to hold the price at the same as it was for Volume 4, which is just £12 inc UK P&P.

Volumes 1 and 2 have now been withdrawn and have been removed from the "catalogue", but I will consider “special requests” if you really do have to have them! I can continue supplying Vol 3 at £10 and Vol 4 at £12 for the foreseeable future if interest remains.
